Heather Johnson, Founder
Aydel Health was founded by Heather Johnson, a public health professional and medical librarian with more than a decade of experience working with clinicians, patients, and diverse populations to identify, synthesize, and communicate high-quality medical evidence.
Her work has focused on translating complex clinical information into clear, accurate patient education that accounts for differences in health literacy, language, cultural context, and social determinants of health. This expertise informs the design of Aydel Health’s custom educational pathways, which are designed to align with how patients actually understand and use medical information.
Jacob Ossoff, MD, Medical Director
Dr. Jacob Ossoff is a board-certified otolaryngology–head and neck surgeon and a practicing clinician, with direct, ongoing experience caring for patients across a wide range of ENT conditions and procedures. His active clinical practice ensures that all procedural and aftercare content reflects the most current clinical evidence and real-world standards of care.
As Medical Director, Dr. Ossoff provides clinical oversight for Aydel Health’s educational pathways, ensuring that materials are accurate, relevant, and aligned with how clinicians counsel patients in practice. He works closely with the Aydel Health team to ensure that patient education addresses the questions, concerns, and decisions that commonly arise in the exam room.
His involvement ensures that Aydel Health delivers patient education that is clinically sound, current, and trusted by practicing physicians. Dr. Ossoff uses Aydel Health’s suite of ENT products every day in his busy clinic.
